So this is my first posting here.  I'm going to turn 20 at the end of November and only recently got into NCIS.  However, I must say that even before I started watching the show, I would see teasers and even from then, I would ask my friend who DOES watch it if Gibbs and Abby get together, are together, have the tension.  So I knew the whole Gibbs/Abby thing before I started watching it.

Anyways, I don't really write fanfiction (I used to, but now I only write original stuff), but I love writing poems and while watching an episode (I forget which one), I was struck by inspiration and wrote this poem.  I never post my poems because I'm so afraid of plagerism so I'm asking you kindly not to steal it - this poem does belong to me.

Just some background - no spoilers or anything like that, but it's from Abby's perspective - she's in her own thoughts, I think.  Anyways, any feedback would be lovely.  Thank you!  :)

Silver-Haired Fox

Untouchable, the way you cut diamonds with your eyes

You shoot them my way and you leave me paralyzed

Since there's a discussion about Abby's age going on in one of the comment threads, I figured I'd post my reasoning here, which is based on the CBS-provided canon back when the show was heading for its second season.

She was in her late twenties in 2004, according to CBS's official character profile (which is no longer on their website). Also contained in that profile is the fact that as of June 2004, she had been at NCIS for five years, which would make the year she joined 1999.

Based on the episode dialogue, I'd say she turned 30 in season 3, in the episode Ravenous (which aired March 7th 2006). "Remember how old you are, too."/"Oh, no, you can forget that." - That suggests that it's a milestone that she's not entirely comfortable with, and 30 fits with the 'late twenties' in the profile, when she would have been 28 by that assumption (two months before season two started).

That'd make her on her way to 34 now, assuming her birthday is the airdate of Ravenous, 7th March.

If anyone has any other theories, though, let me know! I'm interested to hear them. :)

All the CBS profile on Gibbs had to say was that he was "not 'considerably' older than 37" in June 2004. Which is a quote from season one. Nothing revealing there, but indicating that he's probably quite a bit younger than Mark Harmon.

Also... Abby is a Pisces, if we go by Ravenous airing on her birthday. And Pisces people are compatible with people born under the sign of Scorpio. Guess who's a Scorpio? Why, Leroy Jethro Gibbs, of course... whose birthday is on 10th November, the same date as the Marine Corps' official birthday. :D - Apparently not. But it was a cool theory...

I was just having a think about something hada_purpura said in her post of spoiler pics for 'Power Out' and thought I'd put a few thoughts out there on how Abby's changed over the past six/seven years and how that affects the Gibbs/Abby relationship.
